MX Engineering and Grinding Media Metallurgical Laboratory (Pty) Ltd
Mbulelo & Xoliswa (MX) Engineering and Grinding Media Metallurgical Laboratory (Pty) Ltd, doing business as MX Engineering, has the ability, assets, and skilled personnel required to satisfy present and future client and customer needs. Furthermore, MX Engineering is certain that the business will keep expanding and pursuing its prosperous course for the future of grinding media and metallurgical materials. The diverse and talented staff at MX Engineering is steadfastly dedicated to the success of the company and its clients both today and in the future.
COMPANY BRIEF HISTORY
MX Engineering was founded in July 2020 with the primary goals of producing and distributing grinding media materials as well as carrying out metallurgical characterisation, or quality control testing. while conducting quality control on grinding media and other associated metallurgical materials, such as ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials. MX Engineering was founded because of research and development experience, at least six years of lecturing experience, more than fifteen years of industrial experience, and an academic background on the “publication of high chromium white cast iron alloy’s articles” from postgraduate, or doctorate, studies. In the next five to ten years, Mr. Mbulelo Ngqase, the company’s founder, will ensure that it expands from its modest beginnings to become a significant metallurgical laboratory and foundry in the Republic of South Africa and the Southern African region, particularly around media material grinding.
MISSION, VALUES, KEY TO SUCCESS
Our goal is to supply engineering materials and services for all kinds of castings to customers and clients throughout South Africa and the southern region of the African continent, with a particular emphasis on grinding media materials, performing quality assurance tests and metallurgical and abrasive wear characterisation. Additionally, research and development for manufacturing and end users, failure investigation, moulding sand characterisation, melting, casting, heat treatment process evaluation and design are included. From concept planning to completion, our services will be provided by a highly qualified team of professionals who collaborate using their industrial expertise, academic and professional backgrounds, and real-world experience.
Ensuring that the technological potential and quality claims of foundry technology, grinding media, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials are crucial to their applications.
The development of standard operating procedures (SOP) with manufacturing industries, quality assurance and control policies, and support for internal and external auditing documents will be the key to success. Due to the foundries’ inadequate or nonexistent documentation on quality standards and procedures, it is difficult to assess and examine their operational operations for areas that could use improvement. The following three values, which will help ensure that the business fulfils its objective, are the foundation of MX Engineering’s success:
- Deliver expert quality assurance services on schedule and under budget.
- Create a follow-up plan to assess each client’s or customer’s performance.
- Establish and uphold rules for quality control and assurance.
In accordance with the needs and specifications of the client or customer, the quotation will specify the anticipated quality assurance testing, assessment, or services. If there are any malfunctions, extra lead or turnaround time will be set aside to meet the needs of the client or customer as far as feasible.
The trial casting and thermal process will be suggested and produced if a new pattern and/or casting is to be manufactured or heat treated, and the required approval from the customer’s or client’s perspective must be provided in writing in the form of a “compiled comprehensive metallurgical report”. MX Engineering will require this to finish a thorough batch report of castings and services rendered.
If a casting or thermal process is not authorised, it must be modified to meet the needs of the client or customer. Before the remaining portion of the order can be finished, a second trial casting or process must be made and approved by the client or customer. Finally, if trial permission has been approved and paid in full, a pattern, casting, or any other associated item will retain the customer’s or client’s property when the job is finished.
